Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about using CalcHub's free calculators and converters.

Are all CalcHub calculators really free?

Yes. Every calculator and converter on CalcHub is completely free to use. There is no signup, no trial period, and no paywall. You can use the tools as many times as you like without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Do I need to create an account to use the tools?

No account is required. All calculators and converters work directly in your browser. You can open any tool, enter your values, and get instant results without registering or logging in.

Are my calculations stored or shared anywhere?

No. All calculations happen entirely in your browser. The values you enter are processed locally by the tool and are not sent to our servers or stored in a database. Your inputs remain private to your device.

How accurate are the results?

Each calculator uses a standard, well-established formula for its specific calculation. However, results are estimates and should be used for informational purposes. For financial, medical, or engineering decisions, always verify results with a qualified professional, as individual circumstances may require adjustments that a general calculator cannot account for.

What categories of calculators are available?

CalcHub offers five categories: Math & Numbers (percentages, fractions, exponents, primes, and more), Finance & Business (mortgage, loan, interest, ROI, tax), Health & Fitness (BMI, calories, body fat, heart rate zones), Unit Converters (length, weight, temperature, speed, data, pressure, energy), and Engineering & Threads (screw plug tolerances, thread gauge calculations, DIN fittings).

Can I use CalcHub on my phone?

Yes. Every page and tool is fully responsive and works on smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. The interface adapts to your screen size so you can calculate on the go without installing an app.

Do the calculators show the formulas they use?

Yes. Every tool page displays the formula behind the calculation and includes a plain-language explanation of how the result is derived. Many tools also show a step-by-step breakdown of the calculation in the results panel.

How do I find a specific calculator?

Use the search bar at the top of any page. Type a keyword — for example, "mortgage," "BMI," or "temperature" — and matching tools appear instantly. You can also browse by category from the navigation menu or the homepage.

Can I request a new calculator that is not on the site?

Absolutely. If you need a calculator or converter that we do not yet offer, visit our Contact page and let us know what you need. We regularly add new tools based on user requests.

Why do some tools include reference tables?

Engineering and technical calculators often depend on standardized values published by organizations like ASME, ISO, and DIN. Where relevant, we include reference tables alongside the calculator so you can cross-check results against the official standards without leaving the page.

Is the content on CalcHub original?

Yes. All explanations, guides, formulas, and reference content on CalcHub are written and maintained by our team. We do not scrape or republish content from other sources. Each tool page includes a unique explanation and, where applicable, use cases and tips for getting accurate results.

How is CalcHub funded?

CalcHub is supported by advertising and optional user donations. Ads allow us to keep every tool free with no signup. Donations from users who find the tools valuable help cover development and hosting costs. We do not sell user data.
